  • Open any QuickBooks sample company files and try to print the same type of form or report. If it works, you can use Resolve data damage on your company file to fix any data damage in your file and then try to print again.

Step 1: Close QuickBooks.

Step 2: Download the most recent version of the QuickBooks Tool Hub (1.6.0.8).

Solution I: Add a Generic PCL Printer

Step 1: Click the Apple icon 

Step 2: Choose the System Preferences option from the drop-down list.

    Step 4: Select the printer currently in use and click on the Plus (+) sign to add a new printer.

      Step 7: From the drop-down field, choose the Generic PCL Printer driver and click Add.

      Step 8: A new window will pop up to confirm that the options are accurately shown. In this window, the user can find the option to select the “Duplexer Check Box.” Make sure the check box is not selected.

          Solution II: Change Printing Defaults on a MAC OSX Driver

          Step 1: Log into the Apple device with Admin access.

          Step 2: Launch Safari Browser 

          Step 3: Enter this “http://localhost:631” URL in the search bar. 

          Step 4: Launch the terminal and type “sudo cupsctl webinterface=yes.” Enter the admin password and then refresh the safari view to enable the cups page.

          Step 5: Now, with the cups web page open. Select the Printers tab and then select the printer for which you wish to update the settings.

          Step 6: Once you are done, you’ll be sent to its configuration page.

          Step 7: From the drop-down option, select Administrator.

          Step 10: Scroll down the list until you see the print-style menu.
